  1. Determine the wireless driver that you're running on your PC, along with the date and version. Open the command prompt (Win key + R, type 'cmd') and enter the following command:

  1. Download the latest available driver for your wireless (WiFi) adapter from the manufacturer's website. In the example above, go to the Download Center for Intel and choose the driver for the Windows version you are running. If you're unsure of what version you're running, just check the 'System type' information in the System properties screen (Win key + Break). (We suggest downloading the file to your Desktop).
  1. Install the driver by running the installer. If the driver doesn't have an installer:
    1. Open the Device Manager (You can do this by pressing the Windows but and typing it out)
    2. Right click on your wireless adapter and choose Update Driver Software.
    3. Choose the option to Browse and locate the drivers you downloaded. Windows will then install the drivers.
  2. Reboot your PC after installing the updated drivers.

The new ATLAS Project 25 Phase 2 open-standard system will replaceDFW Airport'sexisting legacy system. It will provide improved coverage across DFW's 26.9 square mile facility and interoperability with several neighboring agencies in the DFW Metroplex via Inter RF Subsystem Interface (ISSI).

The complete turnkey solution includes an ATLAS 3-site, 10 channel P25 Phase 2 trunked simulcast system, 5 channel P25 Phase 2 in-building system, 4 channel P25 Phase 2 interoperability system, microwave backhaul system, and eight dispatch consoles with integrated voice and data capabilities. DFW's current fleet of radios will be replaced with 1,500 VikingĀ® P25 portable and mobile radios including AES encryption and GPS capabilities, connecting the Airport's police departments, fire departments and ground crews. The contract also includes six years of warranty and maintenance services and remote network monitoring.

The state-of-the-art system purchase is part of the Airport's Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program, which began in 2010. DFW serves approximately 174,031 passengers a day and 63 million passengers annually. The Airport is the fourth busiest airport in the world with 679,000 total movements (landing or takeoffs) a year.
